What is a CommuniJo?: At BlackstarVillage, CommuniJos are journalists by the people for the people. They are empowered, independent voices that write and report on urgent social issues taking place in their community as they take shape. Currently, we are seeking CommuniJos primarily in the following markets.

U.S. Markets: Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, Jackson (MS), Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Memphis, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh, St. Louis, and Washington D.C.

International Markets: Countries with large Black populations (i.e. Brazil, Haiti, Jamaica, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon, etc.). If you live in the U.S. but have friends or family abroad please spread the word about this exciting opportunity that will link Black people around the world together.
